  • "Lucy Locket was a great puppet show, the set was fabulous and each prop perfectly matched the story. What really stood out was the message that the story told, a very important one for kids of all ages. Jodie generously shared lots of information about how the story came to be and many of the creative processes which the kids found very interesting. The puppet making was also a highlight, there were about 30 children in the group however Jodie managed to spent time with each student while they made their puppet - offering advice and wisdom. They were able to produce their own show with their hand made puppets which all of the children thoroughly enjoyed. A fantastic day for children of all ages."

  • Jodie’s Lucy Locket Puppet Theatre was truly a delight. The performance was engaging and magical, and it inspired the students’ imaginations. The workshop was hands-on, and the students were supported to dream into reality their own creations. The show supported our curriculum in developing aspects of the achievement standard, specifically around narrative features of character, setting, and events. Jodie’s beautiful nature, explicit teaching, and fun games had students walking out of the session with smiles on faces, a sense of accomplish-ment, and a newfound love of drama and performance.   • On behalf of Burketown State School we just wanted to say that our students from kindergarten to grade 6 thoroughly enjoyed the experience that Jodie shared with us through her puppeteer workshop and "Lucy Locket Show". Jodie took the time to get to know our students and school enhancing the experience and making it an enjoyable time for our students. The students created their own puppets and performed their own show, which was constructed with their own ideas, puppets and Jodie's assistance.
